Data we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

Account information such as email address.
Relationship setup answers, goals, preferences, and app mode.
Cycle profile data such as last period date, cycle length, period length, predicted windows, and fertility goal.
Daily logs such as mood, symptoms, period status, sex logged, ovulation test result, support actions, and notes.
Reminder preferences and notification settings.
Partner invite status, sharing settings, and shared support insights.
AI coach prompts and generated coaching plans when you use the coach.
Basic technical data needed to operate, secure, and debug the app.
Purchase and subscription status if you buy premium features through Apple or Google.

Sensitive data

Cycle, fertility, sex, health-adjacent, relationship, and partner notes can be highly sensitive. We treat these as sensitive personal data even where local law uses different terminology.

How we use data

Provide cycle estimates and support guidance.
Save account, profile, and relationship preferences.
Sync data across devices when you sign in.
Generate reminders, support tips, and shared insights.
Provide AI coaching when requested.
Process subscriptions and entitlements if you purchase premium features.
Maintain app security and reliability.

Partner sharing

Partner sharing is controlled by app settings. Notes and symptoms are private by default unless you choose to share them. Shared insights are guidance, not orders, demands, or proof of consent.

AI coach

AI coach requests may be sent to a server-side AI provider through a secure backend function. The mobile app does not embed private AI API keys. AI coaching is not therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or emergency support.

Medical and fertility disclaimer

Better Man is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Cycle predictions are estimates and are not contraception. Consult qualified medical professionals for pregnancy, fertility, contraception, menstrual health, or medical concerns.

Safety

Better Man is not emergency help. If there is abuse, coercion, intimidation, threats, self-harm, or immediate danger, seek real-world support from trusted people, professionals, or emergency services.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account and app data from inside the app. Account deletion is designed to remove profile, cycle, logging, coaching, reminder, and shared insight records tied to your user, disconnect partner links when needed, then delete the authentication user, subject to lawful retention obligations.

Third parties

Supabase for authentication, database, and edge functions.
An AI provider for optional coaching through server-side calls.
RevenueCat for paid subscriptions and entitlements, if enabled.
Apple and Google for app distribution, in-app purchases, and platform services.

Children

Better Man is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
